Overview

Aaron Herbert, a rising star in British motorsport, entrusted Grid Media to create a brand identity that would help him stand out from his fellow competitors on and off the track.

We wanted to build a brand of cultural celebration that reflected Aaron's story, his passion for racing, and his cultural heritage. As advocates for greater diversity in motorsport, we were excited to collaborate with Aaron on a project that champions inclusivity and challenges conventions.

The Challenge

With Aaron's ambition to succeed and his dedication to inspiring the next generation of racers, he needed a brand that would connect with his followers and fans but also set him apart whilst seeking sponsorship and partners to join him on his journey, his professional branding would need to compliment his image and increase his brand leverage; this meant crafting a brand identity that was both professional and personal, capable of attracting valuable partnerships while staying true to Aaron's roots.

The Solution

Our trademark collaborative and personalised approach ensured that Aaron's vision was at the forefront of the design process. We worked closely with him to develop a brand and logo that captured his dynamic energy, professionalism, and cultural background. Inspired by the vibrant colours of the Caribbean, we created a 'palette of heritage' that conveyed a sense of speed, drive, and professionalism while incorporating Aaron's story.

The logo, a stylised 'AH' monogram, was tested in various colours and then adapted to ensure it would be effective across all touchpoints—from car livery and helmets to racing suits and merchandise—guaranteeing a consistent and vibrant brand experience.

The final design is a testament to Aaron's ambition and commitment to excellence. It's a bold, eye-catching brand that captures his personality and heritage, projecting an image of professionalism and individuality that resonates with sponsors and fans alike.
